Nokia launches two new touch smartphones, 2G-enabled

Nokia has launched the Asha 308 and Asha 309, the latest additions to the Asha Touch series of mobile phones. The Asha 308 is a dual-SIM phone where as the Asha 309 is a single-SIM phone with built-in
Wi-Fi.
The new devices offer a fluid ‘swipe’ user interface and an open environment for third-party application development. Both Nokia Asha 308 and 309 are 2G-enabled devices featuring a 3-inch WQVGA capacitive display with multiple home screens,  2 megapixel camera, FM radio, loud speakers, 1110mAh battery and 64MB internal storage with up to 32GB microSD card support.  The phones come with the usual social networking applications, YouTube as well as free 40 games from EA.
The Nokia Asha 308 will come in the Black and the Golden Light colour.
Nokia also released a new version of Nokia Xpress Browser, which is claimed to enable up to 90 per cent more efficient mobile browsing and faster access to web applications compared to conventional browsers.
